Proudest moment of your event career so far:
Being part of the team delivering the State Funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was by far the proudest moment of my career, but looking after Paddington Bear at Chipping Norton Literary Festival has to be a close second.
Favourite event you’ve worked on:
Can I say my wedding? That was possibly the best event, ever.
Ian started his career working in theatre production in the later 1990s before studying Arts and Event Production at the Arts Institute Bournemouth.
Taking a particular interest in grey space festivals, Ian has worked with local authorities across the country delivering city centre festivals, carnivals and community celebrations.
As the lead planner for the UK leg of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Queens Baton Relay Ian was responsible for the planning and execution of the launch at Buckingham Palace with Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness, The Duke of Wessex.
Ian passionately believes that music and events offer a platform for social integration; whatever your background, language and heritage we all speak the language of music.
