Beth Smith

Senior Projects Manager

First Gig:
Steps at Wembley, 1999

Proudest moment of your event career so far:
Standing with James Horner (who composed Titanic) in the auditorium at the Royal Albert Hall whilst he explained to me how this was the first time he had ever seen people enjoy his music. I’ll never forget the look of pure joy on his face, he didn’t look at the orchestra or stage once, he just stared at the audience. Knowing you are creating unforgettable moments in people’s lives makes you really proud of your work.

Favourite event you’ve worked on:
Mighty Hoopla - the audience satisfaction is unrivalled, everyone is there to have a fantastic time, and we deliver!

Beth’s events career began working on the promoter team for Eat Your Own Ears, coordinating large and diverse festivals in London’s Victoria Park including Field Day. Beth then joined the programming team for 3 years at the Royal Albert Hall, where she produced over 300 own and co-promoted shows across varying genres. After 6 successful years working on the promoting side of events, Beth realised her passion laid in understanding the nuts and bolts of how a show is put together, the fantastically complex and confusing nature of festivals and how things are built. Seeking to expand her existing experience in event management and operations for festivals, Beth joined the Loud Sound team in 2016, making her return to Victoria Park as Event Manager for Field Day. Since then, Beth has Project Managed some of London’s largest festivals and events including All Points East, BST Hyde Park, Mighty Hoopla and Chinese New Year. Beth’s wealth of experience, reliability and compassionate attitude make her a key member of the Loud Sound family.
