Proudest moment of your event career so far:
Winning the Queens award for voluntary service and representing Local Aid (a Swansea based special needs charity) at a garden party at Buckingham Palace in 2010.
Favourite event you’ve worked on:
Mighty Hoopla (Brockwell Park Summer Series) I love the vibe of the event and what it stands for. I am very proud to work for a company who support the rights and freedoms of the LGBTQ+ community and beyond.
Ben started his working life in a local greengrocers/deli after school and volunteering for a special needs charity on the weekend from the age of 15. Opting to study Drama and Theatre studies at university where he specialised in applied theatre, looking at how theatre can be used as a vehicle for change. After university, Ben continued his work in the special needs field, both in adult and mainstream education, before deciding to up sticks and travel the world whilst working for the nations flag carrier, British Airways. During the pandemic, Ben began working for LS Events whilst on furlough assisting Debbie Atherton in the introduction of a HR department to the company, having worked alongside her at Showsec as a HR welfare officer for their work on the London 2012 Olympics.
